Scope and contents

Handwritten and formal sympathy acknowledgements in the form of cards, letters and telegrams make up the bulk of this series. Also noteworthy are material belonging to Henderson while he was a student at North Carolina College at Durham, and personla letters he wrote to family.

The family of the late Dr. Vivian W. Henderson received many letters, cards and other communications from people across the country who respected him and who mourned his death. In addition to these, the report of contributions made to his scholarship fund are abundantly represented in this series.
