This series contains materials pertaining to the personal life of Dr. Wiley S. Bolden. Materials included in this series cover his education including his time at Teachers College, Columbia University. The series also includes writings by Bolden during his career. These writings cover topics such as his education at Alabama State Teachers College (now Alabama State University), psychology, and educating students and include various journal articles written by Bolden. This series also contains memorabilia of Bolden's. A large portion of the series includes scrapbooks of newspaper clippings on the topic of the integration of schools in the Atlanta area and other areas of Georgia from the late 1960s to early 1970s. Memorabilia also includes certificates given to Bolden for various achievements and organizations he was a part of during his professional career. The series also contains programs and information pertaining to various school reunions Bolden attended and helped organized. Correspondence, programs, and certificates pertaining to his involvement with his church, Warren Memorial United Methodist Church, are also included in this series. The formats of these materials include programs, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and photographs. The images in this series are reproductions of originals. The dates reflect those of the originals.
