From the Series:

This series includes personal and professional photographs of Grace Towns Hamilton, her family, colleagues, friends, and others close to her. It contains photographs of her as a young child, her mother and father, siblings, and her daughter, Eleanor. It consists of photographs from her time in the Georgia General Assembly, which feature other members and former Governor George Busbee. In addition, the series includes photographs of groups for various activities, such as voter registration. Several photographs of Grace Towns Hamilton and family were photographed by the Pach Bros and Bachrach Photography. Notable figures in the photographs include Martin Luther King, Sr., Prince Charles of the United Kingdom, Jimmy Carter, W. E. B. DuBois, Langston Hughes, and Benjamin E. Mays as well as several others.
