Scope and contents

This series consists of materials related to Lucy Grigsby's career at Atlanta University. The majority of the series includes materials from her sixteen years as faculty assembly representative on the Board of Trustees. These include meeting minutes, reports, and agendas, committee materials, fundraising, development, and budget materials, and policies. In addition, the series contains materials from her work on the faculty assembly such as meetings, reports, and the faculty handbook. It also is made up of materials from the Atlanta University Center, the University Senate, correspondence, the Three Universities Fellowship Program, an English degree program between Atlanta University, Fisk University and Memphis State University, events, projects, and the Trevor Arnett Library. Formats of materials include handwritten notes and minutes, reports, minutes, agendas, memos, and correspondence.

The Correspondence subseries is arranged chronologically based on dates of the materials. The other subseries are arranged alphabetically based on the topics of the materials.
