Scope and contents
This series contains materials related to the personal life of Dr. Hugh M. Gloster and the Gloster family. It contains biographical materials such as his vita and resume that consists of a variety of iterations over thirty years. The series includes Dr. Gloster’s educational materials from Atlanta University, Morehouse College, and New York University. There are also memorabilia consisting of articles about Dr. Gloster, various certificates, his retirement from Morehouse College, and materials related to his passing. Other materials are related to his family including a son, Hugh Gloster Jr.; two daughters, Alice Burnette Green and Evelyn Gloster; spouses, Dr. Beulah Harold Gloster and Mrs. Yvonne Gloster; mother, Dora M. Gloster; father, John Robert Gloster; and two brothers, Claude and Clarence Gloster. The types of materials found among the family papers are educational materials, teaching materials, sympathy cards, and letters.
