Scope and contents
This series includes materials related to Dr. Gloster’s various roles while at Hampton Institute. There are materials related to Dr. Gloster’s administrative positions as Director of Summer Sessions and Dean of Faculty at Hampton Institute. The series also includes materials from his selection as a Fulbright Scholar where he taught English at Hiroshima University.
There are additional materials related to his teaching positions in Warsaw Poland, New York University, the State Department, and the United Services Organization (USO), which mostly include his lecture notes, lecture engagements, and correspondence. Printed materials including newsletters, bulletins, catalogs, magazines, and programs from Hampton Institute are also contained in this series.
