From the Series:

As a reflection of Dr. Bacote's political, civic, and community involvement, he had in his possession newsletters from organizations such as the Southern Regional Council, the League of Women Voters, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and the Committee on Political Education. Mixed in with these documents are position papers and reports on a variety of political, economic, and social issues facing the South and Black Americans in particular. Also included are published documents from the Democratic National Committee, and other political documents such as election guides and political party analysis.
