The photographs in this series are divided into two groups. The first group consists of mostly individual prints taken of Dr. Bacote in a variety of settings, including many with his family, at graduation ceremonies, formal events, and with colleagues and friends. Most of the photographs, however, depict an earlier period, perhaps between 1916-1918. These photographs are from a photo album belonging to an unkonw female stduent of Atlanta University. The pictures are of students, faculty, buildings, and sights of Atlanta and Atlanta University. Many of the photos contain captions designed by the owner of the album.
