Scope and contents
Included in this series are framed pictures of Dr. Bacote in formal poses and at ceremonies which featured such people as Roy Wilkins, Lillian Smith, and Maynard Jackson, then Mayor of Atlanta. Very prominent in the collection are framed citations and plaques honoring his service in government, historical groups, and to Atlanta University and Morehouse College, including two awards dedicated posthumously. Other materials include individual letters from W.E.B.Dubouis, Andrew Young, Hubert H. Humphrey, and others. The letters are matted on cardboard surfaces individually, or, in a bound volume. ALso included is an edition of his college yearbook and his dissertation.
