Ahmed, Abdalla, 1979
Scope and contents
This series contains records from the Atlanta Affiliate Branch of the Council of International Programs (CIP), an initiative established to foster communications among internationally focused groups in Atlanta. The CIP is a private, voluntary U.S.–based organization that sponsors international cultural and professional exchange programs in the fields of social work, youth work, and special education. The Atlanta University School of Social Work served as an affiliated member of CIP.
The files are divided into two groups: those about the local Atlanta branch and those related to the national Council of International Programs. Both groups include annual reports, correspondence, participant-related materials, program information, and financial records.
The Atlanta files provide detailed documentation on host families, the work performed by the participants, the organizations where the participants worked, and evaluations of both the participants and the programs.
