From the Series:
The writings by Harvey primarily consist of issues of his newsletter, Bench Talk Heard, dating from June 1968 to November 1969. He founded and edited this weekly newsletter that chronicled Black college sports events and Black professional athletes. Of interest is a photocopy of brief remarks Harvey made during what seems to be a retirement program in his honor.
