"The History of Atlanta University," [notes], undated
File — Box: 4, Folder: 18
Scope and contents
From the Series:
This series is mainly Towns’ poetry, but also includes essays, odes, songs, speeches and his unfinished novel, “Breasting the Blows”. Of note is his play in one act The Sharecropper, self-published in 1932 and performed at Fort Valley State College. His biographical notes on James Weldon Johnson and biographical sketch of William Henry Crogman (Clark College’s first president) are fascinating portraits of two men dear to Towns.
