Scope and contents
This series contains records related to the Methodist Church, its governing bodies and the Central Jurisdiction. Of note are materials related to the elimination of the Central Jurisdiction, reports and notes from the Presidents' Council (made up of presidents from Historically Black Colleges and Universities affiliated with the church)and drafts of the play "Climbing Jacob's Ladder" written for the centennial celebration in 1969. Also included in this series are files from Brawley's home church, Warren Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
