This series is comprised primarily of sermons. It also contains some speeches at events, a few prayers, eulogies, and lectures. The writings are handwritten and typescripts, and cover the period 1947-2001 with the majority dating 1950-1970s. There are 1,612 items, of which 1,148 are individual titles. The duplicate titles allow the review of a title from handwritten script to final product. However, it is noted that often there is limited editing and in many cases the changes are few.

The collection includes a few partial writings of notes, outlines, and texts with missing pages. Some of the partial writings are substantial and include several pages of a text; however the first and last pages may be missing. The processing staff matched as many partial writings as they could identify. The partial writings are comprised of the pages that staff was not able to match.
