Scope and contents

The Atlanta University Publications is a series of monographs on topics pertaining to the life, health, economic development, and social conditions of African Americans, published by Atlanta University. The Publications consisted of the speeches and data presented at the annual Conferences for the Study of Negro Problems, held at Atlanta University. The findings were edited (often by W.E.B. DuBois), put into pamphlet form and distributed. THe publications continued for twenty years, until 1917 when they were discontinued for financial reasons. Briefly renewed in 1941, the series was permanently discontinued in 1944.
