The Scroll was a student publication for school circulation. It began in 1895 as a weekly under the auspices of the Phi Kappa literary society, a student social group. It dealt with campus activities and provided a medium through which the students could express themselves on various aspects of social life. In 1896 it became a monthly and began to serve as an organ of the Alumni Association. The Scroll was discontinued in 1929, but was published periodically shortly thereafter.
