Scope and Contents The Photograph series contains over 10,000 photographs taken at many local functions during Maynard Jackson's Mayoral Terms - from 1974 to 1982, and again from 1990 to 1994 - as well as photographs of his international travels. Scope and contents This series is comprised of approximately 800 speeches, most of which were given by Maynard Jackson during the three terms he served as Mayor of Atlanta. As Mayor, Jackson made speeches before business groups, political groups, church assemblies, colleges, private clubs, and conventioneers. Scope and Contents of the Subseries The subseries is comprised of letters, greeting cards, telegrams, postcards, and other correspondence received by Martin Luther King, Jr. following his stabbing by Izola Ware Curry on September 21, 1958.
