The West Side Relief Committee was established by the Neighborhood Union to aid African American families during the depression. Among the items are correspondence to various local businesses soliciting materials for donation for a benefit carnival, flyers advertising the carnival, minutes, annual reports, reports on the needs of the committee, rosters, and surveys.
