"Up From Slavery in Seychelles" (research photos)
Scope and Contents
The Rodney family provided reproductions of the few photographs they have of Walter Rodney. The earliest image is a reproduction of Walter Rodney’s graduation portrait from Queen’s College in 1960. The other images are reproductions of snapshots of Walter Rodney with family, colleagues, and friends; as well as four reproductions of photographs Rodney collected for his research and writings.
Also included in this series are photographs of Dr. Rodney when he participated in the 1974 Institute of the Black World Summer Symposium in Atlanta, Georgia. These reproductions are provided for research and study. For use and reproductions of these photographs contact the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and Atlanta photographer, Susan Ross.

Photocopying is not permitted of Walter Rodney's unpublished writing, his drafts of works that have been published, nor his lectures and lecture notes.

Audio recordings are for research and study and no copying is permitted.
Materials with personal identification information such as social security, passport, and financial account numbers, as well as student evaluations and reference letters for students and colleagues have been isolated in Series M: Restricted Materials, and are not available for review.
