Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Contained here are student papers, course lectures, syllabi, consultation work and other materials typical of C. Eric Lincoln's profile as lecturer and sociologist at various universities, namely Duke University. Lincoln's primary curricular interests lie in the Black Church and Religion, and the course preparation material contained in this series reflect that. Among these are class rolls, student files/grades, and other student profile data pertinent to his class preparations. Also among the papers are committee minutes, agendas and correspondence which reflect the "important" news of that time period; these papers contain information regarding the establishment of an African American Studies program at Duke University, the housing of Richard Nixon's Presidential papers at Duke, and Terry Sanford's (then Presdient of Duke University) run for U.S. Senate. Lincoln's University and Academic files also lay out in detail his latest writing pursuits and publishings.
