Scope and Contents
The General Subject File consists of notes and newspaper and magazine clippings on a wide range of subjects, including African-Americans, civil rights in the United States and Africa, as well as major world political and religious figures (1943-1968). Some of the clippings are articles about Martin Luther King, Jr. and his wife, Coretta Scott King.
