his series contains printed and published materials collected by Dawud Anyabwile. The comic books represented in this collection are primarily authored by African Americans and people of color and are mostly distributed by indie publishing companies or independently published. The ephemera in this series includes flyers for artists’ work and comic conventions such as Onyxcon. The articles and newspaper clippings primarily highlight Black comic book authors or are about the Black comic book movement in the 1990s. This series also includes magazines that contain articles highlighting similar themes. Other printed and published materials include posters and oversized flyers and exhibition materials highlighting Dawud Anyabwile’s work.
