Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

This series consists of oral histories of women living in New Orleans, Louisiana and one elder who lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. These histories chronicle their lives and experiences—particularly their experiences with Hurricane Katrina which had occurred around five years prior to the interviews. The women also discuss the culture of New Orleans and their upbringing if they were raised elsewhere before relocating to New Orleans.
