Guest Books
Scope and contents
The Memorabilia Series is small and includes several artifacts and guest books. Notable items include Dr. Thomas Cole’s presidential inauguration commemorative glass and program; a wooden mallet crafted by William R. Stafford; and a dinner bell made by E.L. Simon, an instructor in ironwood. The series also contains several guest books.
The guest book spanning 1941-1974 documents a range of significant events, including the Alpha Kappa Alpha Southeastern Regional Conference; the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Clark University Class of 1892; and the Executive Session of the Women’s Society of Christian Service, Central Jurisdiction. The 1978 and 1980 guest books include entries from Dr. Elias Blake Jr.’s Inauguration Reception and Trustee Buffet Dinner.
