Board of Trustees meeting Discussing Moving Clark University, 1936 December 16
Scope and contents
The President’s Papers series documents the administration of three Clark College presidents: Matthew S. Davage, James P. Brawley, and Elias Blake. Although the series is relatively small, it consists primarily of correspondence. Some overlap appears between the papers of Matthew S. Davage and James P. Brawley, reflecting the transition in leadership when Brawley succeeded Davage.
The correspondence largely concerns fundraising efforts and the fiscal affairs of the college and includes communications from the Board of Trustees, external organizations, faculty, and general correspondents. A substantial portion of the series comprises correspondence between President Davage and Dr. M. J. Holmes, a member of the Board of Education. In addition to the correspondence, the collection includes financial records, printed and published materials, course outlines, and departmental and faculty records.
