Correspondence
Scope and Contents
This correspondence (1932-1963) documents Anderson's personal and professional life. Much of the correspondence is between Anderson and the "Pittsburgh Courier" staff. William G. (Bill) Nunn, Executive Editor, and editor P.L. Prattis wrote to him about his assignments and articles. The letters to Sylvestre Watkins, Circulation Director, and from Esther Moore, Collections Manager, regard Anderson's sales force and their efforts to increase circulation. Anderson's personal letters are mainly from friends and fellow Elks. Letters from Anderson's girlfriends have restricted access. The earliest correspondence refers to the publication of his book "Come Out Fighting". The letters from government agencies usually regard Anderson's job enquiries.
