Included in this series are published articles, book reviews, bibliographies, speeches, poetry, and studies authored by Lemoine Pierce. Authorship is sometimes cited by her Yoruba name, Modupe Kemi-Sais. The variety of topics in these writings reflect the broad interests of Professor Pierce, including black history, biography, education, law, conflict resolution, and personal reflections. Of note are her writings on mediation as a tool in conflict resolution; and her published articles on artist Charles Alston, scientist George Washington Carver, Congressman Adam Clayton Powell Jr., and dance master Billy Pierce. Of interest is her report produced for the Georgia Department of Corrections Child Custody Project, entitled, "Child Custody Concerns of Sentenced Mothers in Georgia."
