This series consists of mainly of correspondence to Russell Atkins. It also contains correspondence from persons affiliated with Free Lance Press, such as Casper Jordan, Helen Collins and Adelaide Simon. The dates span from 1945 until 1977, but the bulk of the material is from the 1950s and 1960s. The correspondence focuses on business dealings with writers and poets, and events, such as poetry readings and literary performances. Notable correspondents include poets Langston Hughes and Dudley Randall.
