Important information relating to the creation of the Jeanes Foundation is located within this series. There are materials covering the original by-laws and the organizational structure of the Foundation along with the article of incorporation. The minutes, generated from both the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee, illustrate the functions and duties of the Foundation, its various committees, and administrators such as James Dillard and Booker T. Washington. The financial records of the Executive Committee document the handling of the Foundation's appropriations, presidential expenses, and Jeanes Teachers salaries.

Boxes 147-149 contain transcripts which include personal information and are restricted. Boxes 150-157 contain personal dossiers of applicants for the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation and are restricted. Boxes 174 and 175 are restricted for preservation purposes.
