State agents, 1948-1954
Scope and contents
Robert L. Cousins, Assistant Director of the Southern Education Foundation from 1954-1968, was involved in a variety of activities in his position as reflected in the material in this series. Cousins was a pivotal member of the SEF's programs in Adult Education, Early Childhood Education, and in reviewing applications from various states requesting financial aid from the SEF.

Boxes 147-149 contain transcripts which include personal information and are restricted. Boxes 150-157 contain personal dossiers of applicants for the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation and are restricted. Boxes 174 and 175 are restricted for preservation purposes.
