Scope note
This series contains materials about Virginia Lacy Jones including her resume, membership, employment identification cards, and biographical summaries. Some materials about her family members are contained in this series. Of particular note are many letters of condolence from her husband, E.A.'s death.
Additionally, nomination letters, congratulatory correspondence, and programs from the many awards and degrees she received are in the Personal Papers series. Notable awards and degrees include her Ph. D in Library Science from the University of Chicago, and the Melvil Dewey and Joseph W. Lippincott awards.
