Scope note
This series consists of records related to the African Methodist Episcopal Church and Sewell’s work as a minister and General Board member. The materials include church bulletins where Sewell served as minister, committee minutes, convention programs, correspondence, programs from various events sponsored by the congregations, and legislation drafted and passed through the Revisions Committee during the 1976 quadrenium. Additionally, the series also contains materials related to the Women’s Missionary Society, the Minister’s Wives Alliance, and the annual Youth Congress, along with financial reports and membership rosters.
