This collection contains records from the Atlanta University Women’s Club, an organization developed by Mrs. Rufus E. Clement in 1947. The club was designed for women employed by Atlanta University and the wives of Atlanta University employees to gather and provide financial, social, and physical services to the Atlanta University community. The collection features records such as meeting notes, reports, correspondence, membership profiles, event planning documents, and some financial records. Of particular note are the records from the club presidents Annette L. Phinazee, Hallie B. Brooks, Lynette Saine, Marie K. Vernon, and Virginia Lacy Jones, which demonstrate their leadership.
