The Brailsford R. Brazeal papers span the dates 1920-1981 with the bulk of the materials dated 1962-1979. The collection includes writings by Brazeal; office files; photographs; manuscripts by other scholars and Brazeal family members; memorabilia; correspondence to and from Dr. Brazeal, including letters from Morehouse College Presidents and faculty; records of organizations to which Brazeal belonged; research materials; and printed materials.
The records of the College Language Association include administrative correspondence, bibliographies, minutes, reports, financial statements, presentations, presidential addresses, press releases, programs, lists, constitutions, publications, literary submissions, photographs and memorabilia preserving one of America's largest, long-standing African American academic organizations.
This collection contains approximately 103 photographs dating from 1880s to 1970s. The photographs depict the buildings and grounds, students, campus events and visitors, faculty, and individuals associated with Morehouse College. The images showcase aspects of the history of Morehouse College as the largest all-male historically Black college in the United States.
