This collection's materials are comprised of papers, photographs, documents, and ephemera about the Morehouse College Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel. The collection includes photographs, programs, and posters from events hosted at the Chapel, personal and professional papers of Dean Carter from his tenure as Dean of the Chapel and the papers of Lamar Alford during his time as dramatist in residence at Morehouse College.

Scope and contents The Benjamin E. Mays papers include files from his work at the Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education. There are also materials related to his presidency at Morehouse, writings by Mays and others, organizational records and financial materials. There are a few photographs, including several of Dr. Mays with former President Jimmy Carter and former first lady Rosalyn Carter.Of note in the collection are newsclippings and files related to desegregation. Scope and contents

This collection contains publications by Morehouse College and the students of Morehouse College. Materials span the dates of 1890-2016 with the bulk of the collection dating from 1926 to 2000. It includes the catalogs and bulletins, student handbooks called the “M” or The Companion, the Alumnus or the Morehouse College Bulletin and the Morehouse Journal of Science. The Torch (yearbook), the Maroon Tiger (student newspapers), and newsletters also make up a portion of the collection.
