Scope note
This series contains Carl Wares’ writings but mostly consist of speeches that he made to colleges, conventioneers, churches, organizations and community groups, and business groups on behalf of Coca-Cola. Ware often spoke at conferences and seminars, to the board of directors of various companies, to Coca-Cola bottlers, at college commencements and political events. This series also includes Ware’s unpublished manuscript that documents his life as a boy from Newnan, Georgia to a top level executive for The Coca-Cola Company. The manuscript contains seven drafts with multiple variations in the title. There are handwritten edits and printed drafts along with revisions from his editor, research notes, and the Foreword written by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
